Pune: Hirschvogel Components India Pvt. Ltd., a German automotive components manufacturer with operations at Sanaswadi, has announced an additional foreign direct investment (FDI) of ₹750 crore in Maharashtra, reinforcing its long-term commitment to India’s manufacturing ecosystem.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for this investment was signed during the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The MoU was executed by Hirschvogel Components India CEO Sahil Jain. Senior officials present on the occasion included Industries Department Secretary Dr P Ambalagan, Hirschvogel Group Plant Head Markus Obolzer, Director Kartar Chavan, along with other dignitaries.

The proposed investment will be utilised to expand manufacturing capacity and support the production of components required for electric vehicles (EVs).
The expansion is expected to contribute significantly to Maharashtra’s industrial growth while creating approximately 1,000 new employment opportunities.
Hirschvogel Components India to Expand Manufacturing Capacity and EV Component Production
The Hirschvogel Group is a global automotive components manufacturer with operations across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, reporting an annual turnover of nearly ₹15,000 crore.
In India, the group commenced manufacturing operations at its Sanaswadi facility in 2016 and has already invested close to ₹1,000 crore in the country.
India’s passenger vehicle market continues to witness robust growth, supported by favourable industrial policies, strong infrastructure, and state-level incentives.

Maharashtra has emerged as a preferred destination for global manufacturers, with multiple large-scale investments being announced in recent years.
Against this backdrop, Hirschvogel Components India has reaffirmed its confidence in the state’s industrial ecosystem through this latest investment decision.
Hirschvogel is a key supplier to Toyota and was recognised with the prestigious ‘Toyota Supplier of the Year 2024’ award, underlining its capabilities in quality and manufacturing excellence.
